The Cheeto is president again, I know you would be marching/protesting the ICE raids that have been happening. Everything has changed so much since you’ve been gone. I always felt we were born in the wrong era, you had such an old soul. Remember when my sister Edna asked you what era you wish you’d grew up in and you said the 60s-70s to be a part of the revolution? My answer was so lame but your answer always resonated with me because it was so smart and eloquent. There’s a lady at my job named Nadine and it always makes me think of you and the good times we had before you moved to California. Ugh. I remember being so devastated when you broke the news to me that you were moving but I also hold the memory of us eating at whataburger right before you left in my heart. All of our memories involve laughter music and food. It brings me comfort and a smile to know that  you & Maria Teresa are in heaven playing music and singing like we used to do during lunch. I miss you guys.

Nadine, mi negrita bimbo your passing has transformed my life completely.  I still feel disconnected and numb for the most part. I’m still in such disbelief., but I hold on to all the memories and you will always live in my heart. Four years have passed so quickly, but each day is one less to meet again.   Come visit me in my dreams mija, I need one of your hugs. I love you indefinitely baby.  You like your flowers?

Niece there is not a day that passes by that I don’t remember your beautiful smile and your laugh.  Teasing my mom made you laugh but you always were on her side.  I love you Nadine and you will always be in my heart!🫶🏼💕🕊️

Nadine, today marks three years and I'm still in total disbelief. I think you'll walk in through the front any day. I always have you in my mind and heart. My talks with you everyday helps me with the process of acceptance. but I'm not there yet. There's no doubt you're with me all the time. I only ask you to never let go. Although it has been a year I can still remember the last conversation that we had am I’m still saving a seat for you. I also remember the 1st and still I can’t believe that you are not here with us on earth. You’re in a better place and I was truly blessed to have you as an amazing friend. I miss our late night gym workouts and studying. Our color coded picture notes that I still have and hold on to, you’re memories and encouraging words will always play in my head especially when I’m down or when Im hard on myself. I still have photos and videos that reflect back on. I’m blessed to have crossed paths with you, you’ve helped my in my most difficult times in life and you still do to this day, so to me you’re always  still living. You left so suddenly baby and my heart continues to be shattered. It's been a year yet it feels as when I learned of your passing. I know without a doubt you're in a much better place, but I miss you so much especially your hugs and kisses. I'm left with so many beautiful memories, those keep me alive. Your smile is what you instilled in many people's mind, that's how you are remembered too...vibrant smile big enough to lit a room instantly. Te amo tanto mi niña.

I don't think my heart will ever stop aching, but just know that Luis and I were always so proud of you and all your accomplishments. It was an honor and an absolute privilege to have had you as our daughter.  We admired your intelligence and never doubted you'd be one of the best nurses. You leave us with so many beautiful memories that are forever instilled in our minds.  Your beautiful smile and positive vibes were contagious.
