Norman Robert Wood Jr., our beloved father, loving husband, and friend, passed away March 25, 2021. He was born on April 4, 1950 to Norman & Isabel Wood in El Paso, Texas. After attending Austin High School, he met the love of his life, Teresa Wood. They went on to have seven children and twelve grandchildren.
He is survived by Teresa Wood, Ruth Wood, Sarah Wood, Daniel Wood, Esther Lopez, Deborah Wood, Rebecca Wood, and Anabel Wood. He was a connoisseur of literature, music, cars, and antiques. He admired many artists and had his own artwork featured in El Pasos' Peoples' Gallery as a local artist.
However, nothing compared to the love he had for Jehovah God. From the age of 14 when he first learned God's name, to his dedication in baptism, he served Jehovah God remaining faithful to the end. He served as a spiritual example to all his family and was admired as a spiritual and physical giant by his son, Daniel. His faith, love, and hope in Jehovah's promises never waivered.
May Father Jehovah love you and protect you always. You'll always be strong like Samson in our eyes. We love you Dad and look forward to seeing you in Paradise.
Visitation will be from 11:00am-12:30pm, Memorial service at 11:00am, Saturday, April 3, at Funeraria Del Angel Central, 3839 Montana. Committal service to follow at 1:00pm at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery, 4848 Alps.
