Willie Edwards went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 1, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband Martin Lee and her sister, Bernice Lyons. She was a devoted wife, a loving, caring, mother and a woman of faith and kindness who lived ninety-seven fulfilled and happy years. Nurse, homemaker, friend to all she will be greatly missed. Born in 1915 in Pecan Gap, Texas, she is survived by her beloved daughter and caregiver Elizabeth and her beloved daughter Kathy Shropshire husband Dean, grandchildren Charity, Faith and Greg, her faithful niece Carla Miers & Bruce and nephew Kenneth Lyons and Jan. She was a virtuous woman according to Proverbs 31 who demonstrated her love for God and neighbor through everything she did. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 11:30am at Martin Funeral Home Central. Rev. William Francis from St. Clements Church will be officiating. Burial will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
