

Edward Melvin Johnson, 78, of Paisley, FL passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025. Born in Tampa, Florida, he lived the majority of his life in Central Florida. Edward was a United States Navy Veteran, and retired from the City of Orlando after 25 years. Ed had a passion for riding his Harley with his friends and family and enjoyed the wind blowing through his hair. He was a very talented woodworker and built pieces that will keep his legacy alive for many generations. Ed was a dedicated father to April and spent endless hours and days teaching her everything from mechanics to home repairs and finances. He was a big part in making her the woman and mother she is today. He was a man of wisdom and kindness with a sense of humor and will be missed dearly. He is survived by his partner in life, Christine Kidwell of Paisley, FL; daughter, April (Alan) Scalise of Apopka, FL; brother, Bill (Shirley) Johnson of Deland, FL; grandson, Hayden Scalise of Apopka, FL; step-daughters, Sheila (Silas) and Anida (Roy); step-granddaughters, Teresa (Robert), Alicia (Zach) and Lauren (Chandler); step-grandsons, Austin and Nicholas; step-great-grandsons, Landon, Easton who loved his Papaw like he hung the moon and Kaison; step-great-granddaughter, Avery.
