He was born in Kendallville, IN February 18, 1957, to the late J.L. and Retta Belle Gaff.
On May 9, 2009, he married Elaine (West) Gaff, she survives.
He graduated from Central Noble High School in Albion, IN. Jim had a life long career as a truck driver for 50 years. He was a member of the AmVets of Mount Dora, FL and had a passion for riding his Harley.
He is also survived by daughter, Heidi (Matt) Fowler of Ft Wayne, IN, son Chad (Amelia) Gaff of Ft Wayne, IN, daughter Alicia (Katie) McSweeney of Eustis, FL, granddaughter, Evelyn (Jacob) Terrell of Wabash, IN, brother Jack Gaff of Columbia City, IN, sister Cindy (Steve) Hartley of Syracuse, IN, sister Mindy (Doug) Myers of Albion, IN, sister in law Teresa Gaff of Ligonier, IN along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, J.L. and Retta Belle Gaff and a brother, Joe Gaff.
