Jon Philip Morris Sr.

Jon Philip Morris Sr., 91, of Eustis, Florida, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born on November 5, 1934, in Millville, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Joseph Morris and Anne Palmer. He moved to Lake County in 1970 from Sanford, Florida. A dedicated professional, Phil worked as a Golf Course Superintendent and a horticulturalist, roles that reflected his love for nature and the outdoors. He was a devoted fan of Florida Gator football and rarely missed a home game in his 35 years of having season tickets. Phil is survived by his son, Jon “Philip” (Liz) Morris, Jr of Eustis, FL; and his daughter, Cindy Litton of Eustis, FL. He was also blessed with five grandchildren: Ashley (Mitchell) Wilkerson of Eustis, FL; Samantha Morris of Jacksonville, FL; Staci Jensen of Eustis, FL; Lauren Litton of Taft, FL; and Taylor Litton of Eustis, FL. He is further survived by eleven great-grandchildren: Camden, Rohen, Peyton, Tyce, Gage, Kennedi, Kambri, Maia, Aubrey, Annabelle, and Garrett. Phil was a faithful part of the LifePointe Church community in Eustis, where his presence as door greeter was meaningful to those who knew him. He will always be remembered for the two dollar bills that he would gift to the youth of Lifepointe.

A celebration of life will be held at LifePointe Church, Eustis on April 25th in the youth room. The service will be held at 2 pm with light refreshments to follow in the adjoining room.
