Mearlene was married to Wendell Weiss on April 15, 1995. She had a career in woodwork for J&S Cypress.
Mearlene had a passion for playing darts, solitaire and singing karaoke.
She was preceded in death by her only son Jerry Hunt.
She is survived by April (Ricky) Locklear, Starlina Hunt, Taylor (Marcus) Bullard, Dey-Sha Hunt, Bryan Hunt, Jaiden Hunt, Kayloni Eddings, Trey Eddings, Carolyn Chavis, Joseph (Ethel) Chavis, Shirl (Gilbert) Rising, Rose Hunt, Grace Chavis, Delois Allen, and Wayne (Belinda) Chavis.
Visitation will be held at Harden-Pauli Funeral Home, 1617 South Bay Street, Eustis, FL 32726, on March 4, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. A funeral service will follow at Harden-Pauli Funeral Home on March 4, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Burial will take place at Seminole Springs Cemetery, Seminole Springs Road, Eustis, FL 32736, on March 4, 2026, from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm.
