

Bertha J. (Johnson) Mino, 88, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015, at Deaconess Hospital. She was born April 16, 1926, in Bear, DE, to the late Benjamin and Bertha (Russell) Johnson.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Dr. Robert A. Mino in 2003. She was a registered nurse for many years at her husband's practice in Evansville. She graduated from the Homeopathic Hospital School of Nursing in Wilmington, DE.
Bertha had an intellectual curiosity and was loved by all who knew her. She was an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan, enjoyed traveling, gardening, crochet, needle point, and crafts. She made afghans for children afflicted with cancer for two different children's hospitals in Orlando, FL. She was a delightful person, very independent, and loved her family very much.
Bertha is survived by her sister, Mary Gravenor; nephews, Ken Mino and Bill Mino (Fran); niece, Emalea Gravatt (Bob); best friend and soul mate, Terri Tornatta; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 12, 2015, at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel.
