

Chuck worked as a construction laborer and was a member of Local #561 Laborers before retiring in 2001. He was also a member of Westside Christian Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars #1114. He served in the U.S. Army artillery unit during the Korean War before being discharged in 1954. Chuck enjoyed travel, camping, reading and family gatherings.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, the former Nancy Morgan; three daughters, Elizabeth “Candy” (Jack) Travis, Charlene Cain and Rose (Danny) Moore, all of Evansville; two granddaughters, Andrea Moore and Rachel Paul and two great grandchildren, Haley Harper and Brennon Harper.
Chuck was preceded in death by granddaughter, Anya Paul and by a grandson, William Clarence Paul. He loved several dogs over the years including his latest “hound dog”, Eddie.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev. Gary Brunson officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, where the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.
Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Friday and from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
