Earl L Savage

Earl was a Teamster truck driver for Sears, retiring in 1986. After retirement, he helped at Mayse Farm Market. He was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church. Stationed in France and Germany, Earl served as an MP in the Army Air Force from 1946-1949. He graduated from Reitz High School and Mechanic Arts in 1944.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 57 years, Beatrice Overton Savage; siblings, Vic Savage, Viola Blaser, Oliver Savage, Annette Savage, Dorothy Wade, Evelyn Sparks; and, granddaughter, Sally Mayse Bennett.

Earl is survived by his daughter, Sherrill (Paul) Mayse; son, Tom (Pat) Savage of Olive Branch, MS; grandchildren, Greg (Val) Savage of Reynoldsburg, OH and Molly Mayse Grimes of Bowling Green, KY; great grandchildren, Rachael Mayse, Evan Bennett, Cameron and Karlee Grimes, and Phoebe, Joanna, Will, and Nathan Savage; and, a special friend, Nancy Kleiman.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, January 2, 2015 at Alexander North Chapel with Dr. Tom Savage, Rev. Greg Savage, and Rev. Ray Deeter officiating. Burial will follow in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Thursday 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
