

He was a Vietnam Army veteran and retired as an engineer with CSX railroad after 27 years. He loved being with his grandchildren and enjoyed coin collecting and motorcycles.
James was preceded in death by sister, Margie Ann Mason, and step-father Henry J. Pawlowski.
He is survived by former wife of 49 years, Jeanne Pemberton; sons, James Henry (Zina) Mason of Indian Trail, NC, Herbert Frank Breneman of Evansville, and Jessie Breneman (Christie Holland) of Evansville; grandchildren, James Christian Mason, Courtney Mason, Michela Mason, Kylie Breneman, Dustin Brown, Leia Breneman, Stacha Breneman, Herbert Skyler Breneman, and Chelsea Breneman; half-sister, Lisa Hammers; step-sisters, Patty Helfert and Peggy Strahl, and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00AM, Saturday, September 16, 2017 at St. Rupert Catholic Church, 1244 Red Brush Rd., Newburgh, officiated by Fr. Lowell Will, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 5:00 to 8:00PM, Friday, September 15, 2017 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261.
