

Phyllis was born in Mt. Vernon, Indiana on October 22, 1941 to the late Robert William and Cora Myrtle (King) Flack. She was a member of Living Hope Baptist Church. Phyllis was a kind hearted and giving person. She was known in her later years as "The Bead Lady" making jewelry for her friends and family. Phyllis enjoyed cooking, canning, making afghans and listening to country and gospel music. Although Phyllis and her husband, Clarence had divorced, they later became friends and enjoyed spending time together visiting friends, driving to Union County, KY and Shawneetown, IL.
Phyllis is survived by, her daughter, Sondra (Rodney) Poehlein; sons, Kenneth (Mary) Reuter, Matthew (Kimberly) Reuter and Daryl (Rita) Reuter, all of Evansville, IN; sisters, June (Charlie) Chastain and Brenda (Dave) Denton, both of Mt. Vernon, IN; grandchildren, Brittany, Nathaniel, Andrea, Ashley, Joshua, Stephanie, Jacob, Darren, Darek, Alec and Amber; great granddaughter, Lilyian.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Jackie Parton and brother, Robert Dale Flack.
A celebration of her life will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Tim Garrett officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home.
