Rodney Murray

Rod was born in Newfoundland, Canada on June 9, 1963. He was the pastor of Wellspring Community Worship Center in Henderson, Kentucky and director of Barnabas Ministries. Rod loved the outdoors where he felt most connected with God. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, hiking, Sci-Fi (Star Trek), philosophical conversations and was an avid reader. His favorite author was C.S. Lewis. Rod's passion was to share the love of Christ and the motto he lived by was "Keep your eyes on the prize!" He was interested in old ships, collecting many nautical items.

Rod is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lisa (Cohn) Murray; children, Ryan Murray (Amanda) of Henderson, KY, Erin Collier (Cole), Arielle Kenoyer (Joseph), Landon Murray, all of Evansville, IN; granddaughter, Clara May Murray of Henderson, KY; his mother, Barbara (Litchfield) Monk of Ohio; brother, Donald Murray of Costa Mesa, CA.

Rod was preceded in death by his father, Donald Murray; and a brother, Wilfred Murray.

A celebration of Pastor Rod's life will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at The Cathedral, 5000 North First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710 with Pastor Cody Hall officiating. Private burial will be on Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may visit from 1:00 PM until service time on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at The Cathedral.
