Elsa’s independent spirit and love of design led her to leave a career in banking to pursue her creative passion as a self-employed jewelry dealer. With a vibrant artistic sensibility and a keen eye for beauty, she built a successful business, Embellishments, through which she shared her love of jewelry and craftsmanship with others.
Her work took her across the United States and on frequent trips to Taxco, Mexico—known as the silver capital of the world—where she formed lasting relationships with artisans and fellow dealers. Along the way, she inspired and encouraged the entrepreneurial spirit in many who knew her.
Elsa will be remembered by many, and most especially by her children—Peter, Jody, Paul, and Alison, and her grandchildren Grant and Maya, whose lives she enriched with love, creativity, and beauty.
