Glen Allen “Al” Kent was born in Lewiston Montana on the 19th of April 1947 to Margaret Kent nee Isaacs and Glen Kent Sr. At a very young age Al and his family moved to Missoula Montana where he was raised.
Several weeks after high school Al would do what his father had done before him and his own son would do later on, he joined the United States Army. Al worked on Chinook helicopters both stateside and in Vietnam. His yearlong tour in Vietnam included the Tet Offensive during which he turned 21.
After the Army, Al returned to Missoula and worked primarily in saw mills. In Missoula he met Cissy, the love of his life and they were married on May 1st 1982. Shortly thereafter Al and his new bride moved to the Pacific North West where they raised a family. Al’s career spanned 34 years at PSNS. While simultaneously raising a family and managing a career, Al was able to complete his Bachelors degree, the first in his family to do so.
Al enjoyed classic rock, Seahawks football and doing the daily crossword. He was a kind man with a subtle but hilarious sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Shannon Bailey and Sharon Shoen, as well as great niece Qurdelia Bailey. He is survived by his loving wife Jean “Cissy” Kent nee Zink, brother Michael and wife Elizabeth Kent nee Evick, sister Patty Counce nee Kent and husband Glenn Coonce.
