Malsberry Family,

I had the honor and privilege of caring for Jim for a couple weeks while he was on 6N. He was one of my favorite patients and taking care of him was a bright spot in my nights. One of my favorite parts was how he humored me as we â€œdancedâ€ him in and out of bed. We had some great nights talking about life, family, skating and bowling. I am so sorry for your loss and am praying for you.

We will miss you forever and remember you everyday.

So saddened to hear of his passing.  To this day every time I hear a short whistle I remember him.  Such a soft heart and kind word when we would fall at the rink.  Quick to remind us of rules when we got to rowdy.  Many blessings and prayers to your family.

Ben, thank you for introducing your dad to me. You are right he is defiinatly one of a kind but I do see where you get some of your sense of humor. So sorry he is no longer with you. My thoughts and prayers are with you and you wife & kids. He will be remembered.

I remember him from the skate deck also I went double sessions every week back when I was 12-17. Now Im 46 how time fly's but the memory of Jim is still fresh like it was yesterday.

Jim was a great man that everyone will miss. He always had a great attitude that was shared with everyone he knew. He had the ability to always make you smile, treated people with an open heart, and had a strong set of values to share with every person he met. I will miss our visits as he out does my score on the bowling lanes, but I know that he is rejoined again with his wife in heaven.

I remember Jim from the Skate Deck.  I'd skate there every weekend.  He was a wonderful man.  I'm sad to see he has passed on.  I did get to see him a couple years ago at the QFC, he was kind as always and bought Camp Fire candy from my daughter.  I've taken her roller skating and often talk about my memories there, Jim being one of them.  So truly sorry for your loss, for it is a great one.

JIM WAS A WONDERFUL MAN AND AN AWESOME SKATER I REMEMBER GROWING UP AND SPENDING MANY A NIGHT AT THE SKATE DECK.HE WAS ALWAY'S THE ONE TO SAY STEPHANIE SLOW IT DOWN UNLESS YOU WANT TO SIT DOWN,OR IT'S NOT RACE TIME YET,SLOW DOWN.I WILL MISS HIM,BUT WILL SEE HIM AGAIN SOMEDAY.

For many years we put on our Safeway Christmas Skating Parties at the Skate Deck where my now grown kids all learned to skate.  Jim was always there to help us out and tell us a (BAD) joke or two!  RIP!!

My prayers & thoughts are with The Entire Malsberry Family.He will be greatly missed, as he was like a father to me growing up in your family. Stay close & come together during these times.

We will always remember Jim, his smile and his friendship as part of the Roller Skating Family at the Everett Skate Deck. I also knew him as a fellow City of Everett employee.  He had many friends. He was a wonderful, cheerful man.  Thank you for sharing such a great family man with us regulars who grew up rolling along with him.

Just wanted to let you know how sad I am to hear of your loss. I am Jim's insurance agent at Farmers. I will miss his visits. When he came in we would always go outside and talk...I really loved him!

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. My thoughts are with you all.

Ive knowen Jim since I was a teenager at the skate deck later to work with him at the city of everett Jim was my first field supperviser and a good friend he will be missed by so many

My entire childhood comprised of my grandfather picking me up Friday and Saturday nights, taking me to the skate deck where I got to watch him chase down those 'speeders' while blowing short, high-pitched bursts on that whistle and thumb-pointing them to get off the floor for 15 mins. Kids half his age or more got a quick lesson in Jim's Authority 101; they could never out skate him fast enough. 

Once the deck closed, he and I would usually end up at Dennys, have a late dinner and talk about anything and everything before he would take me home for the night. It was our ritual not many knew about (nor would he let me tell anyone -- my grandmother included-- about the banana split sundae he always got after his meal), but I cherished those moments with him and loved being able to spend one on one time with him like that.  

His special blend of sarcasm and humor, quick wit, and infectious laughter will always be remembered. I think he helped instill some of that in me as a little girl just to drive my mother insane. 

I will miss you, grandpa. There are simply not enough words to describe the magnitude of your impact to my life as well as others whose lives you touched. 

I will keep playing our bunny jive.

I was fortunate enough to meet Jim at the rink where we worked together for many years. He had the greatest sense of humor and always seemed to have a smile on his face. Seen him a couple times bowling at Evergreen Lanes a few years ago and he seemed happy. That's how I will always remember him, Happy! My sincerest condolences to the whole family as I know you all miss him even more than I. Live life to the fullest, I'm sure he'd want that. Thanks for all the comradery Jim, you made life a little bit better for me and I will always be grateful.

I too had wonderful childhood memories at the deck and was very happy to know Jim and some of his precious family.

Each and every time I hear the song, "don't mess with my toot toot" and "we are family", I am reminded of the train of skaters that you were always the leader of! You are an important part of Skate Deck history! RIP!!

I am very saddened by the news of Jims passing. I remember him as a staple (on the weekends) in my teenage years. Every weekend he would be at the door welcoming all of us. He was always full of advice, whether you wanted to hear it or not, you listened.And 9 times out of 10 he was right! R.I.P Jim.

You will be missed by many!  See you again on the skatedeck floor in heaven!  I have many memories with Jim and not one was negative one!  You were a positive man and a great all around man!  Love you and miss you Jim!

I enjoyed reading his obit. It brought back a lot of wonderful memories. Knowing he is with so many loved ones is a comfort. I am truly sorry for your loss. God Bless you Cindi and your entire family.

What a special man you were.  I was blessed to know you and your sons.  You were generous in your time and your great sense of humor. Peace be with you now reunited with your wife.  Your legacy will live on in your wonderful grandchildren.  To the family, I am sorry for your loss especially at this time of year but and I hope your happy loving memories will far out shine the sadness you are feeling by Jim's passing.

Rest in Peace Jim. I was a kid who spent entire weekends skating at the skate deck. You were always there to help me up when I fell. Thanks for helping me learn to speed skate and skate backwards...I can still do it and whenever I do, I think of you.
