Jaylyn “Jay” Marie Castandeda began life’s journey on June 28,1994 at 3am in San Pedro, California to the union of Ernest Arthur Castaneda Jr. and Chanel Dymphna Armant-Castaneda. On Sunday, Sept 6 2020 at 3 pm, Jaylyn heard God’s whisper saying, come unto me and with no hesitation, she ended her journey here on earth to begin her journey into God’s heavenly kingdom.
She was a student of Madison Elementary School, Evergreen Middle School, Everett High School and Everett Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Technical Arts, and a Certificate in Medical Assisting Both on June 14, 2018. She was employed by Valley Crest Adult Family Home, Family Resource Home Care, and Cascade In Home Care as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Jaylyn or “Jay’ as she was affectionately called loved spending time with family, friends, patients, and especially her nine year old son Gabriel Michael Ortiz. On August 19, 2020 Jay suffered a stroke and via emergency c-section she gave birth to baby Jayce Phillip Wilson-Castaneda at 29weeks pregnant. He is now one month old and thriving. Jaylyn leaves no stone unturned in providing for and loving her sons. To know her is to love her.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather Clark Sanders and great grandmother Dorie Peltz. Jaylyn leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving Mother Chanel and Father Ernest, loving sisters and brothers JaNay Castaneda-Papka (Cody) and Jaryn Wilson, Javon Wilson, Ernie and Eric Castaneda. Grandmothers Cindy Cobaugh (Papa Joe) and Janell Sanders, great grandmother Floy Batiste, grandfathers Ernest Castaneda Sr. and Gale Armant. Uncles Bernell and Rhett Charles, Steven and Bryan Castaneda and Great Aunts and Great Uncles.
