Kenneth Alan Cooper
March, 7 1955-October, 19 2014
Ken has left this world, our beloved son, brother, father, uncle grandfather and friend. To bid farewell to a kind and generous soul. His boisterous greetings, clever sense of humor, thoughtfulness, and kind spirit will be sorely missed by everyone that knew him.
Ken was the third son, born in Del Norte, Colorado to Verne and Mildred Cooper. He spent the first eight years on farms in Colorado and Idaho. His formative years were spent in Billings, Montana where he met and married Kathy Strebig, the love of his life. They were neighbors and graduated from Billings West High School in 1973. Son Allen “Levi” came into their lives in 1976. Their family moved to Everett, Washington in 1990 where Ken was an A&P mechanic for Tramco and Boeing. Ken was on the line at the Everett Plant where he put together the Boeing 737, 767, 777 and lately the 787 Dreamliner.
Ken had a wide range of interests, he was an accomplished skier, avid hunter, shooter, pilot, scuba diver, and loved the many outdoor activities that Montana and the Pacific Northwest offered.
More than anything Ken was committed to family, Ken and Kathy rarely did anything that didn’t include Levi and his wife Leslie and lately their 2 year old grandson Silas. Trips and holidays usually included a huge extended family. Family and friends knew that they were always included.
Ken is preceded in death by his mother Mildred Cooper, and older brother Jerry. He is survived by his father Verne, wife Kathy, son Levi and daughter-in-law Leslie, grandson Silas, and another soon to be born grandchild; brothers Monte and Kurt Cooper; Mothers-in-law Roberta Jensen and Eileen Cooper and many other friends and family.
Family and friends will gather at Evergreen Funeral Home on Sat. October 25th at 5:00 pm.
Arrangements under the direction of Evergreen Funeral Home, Everett, WA.
