
Louie was born to Frank and Florence Overcast, in Valdez, Alaska. Louie graduated from Loyola High School and enlisted in the Army. He served abroad in Germany until he was honorably discharged. Louie returned to Missoula, attended the University of Montana, and joined the Phi Epsilon Cappa Fraternity. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
He was married to Carol Lee Wilson, his high school sweetheart, on Sept 15, 1962. Louie is survived by his sons Eric and Randy (wife Denise), was well as his grandchildren Marissa and Jordan, and his great granddaughter Adelia. He is also survived by this brothers Richard ”Dick” Charles “Chuck” and predeceased by his sister Barbara “Barb”.
Louie was an intelligent man who possessed a dry sense of humor and could deliver a punch line without cracking a smile. He enjoyed sharing his love of gadgets, computers, and all electronics with his family and friends. Louie could fix just about anything and was a master at PVC pipe projects and passed on that trait to his boys. He and Carol shared their love of gardening together, creating beautiful landscapes wherever they lived. Louie was also a talented photographer taking pictures of everything ranging from weddings and events to still life flowers from his garden.
The family has decided to postpone the memorial service due to covid concerns, but they will let everyone know of the date. A celebration for both Carol, who passed 08/25/20, and Louie’s life, will be held in Missoula at a future date. Thank you.
