

Luke Aaron Young passed away in Seattle on Friday, September 24, 2010. Whether you knew him for an hour or a lifetime, he made you feel special. He was born in Everett, Washington on July 12, 1974 to Brenda and Herman Young. He grew up in Arlington, where he developed a love of the outdoors, enjoying fishing and hunting, but his real passion was football. He became a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and volunteered his time to coach youth football. He worked for NIC Global in Woodinville.
Luke loved his life, his wife Sarah and their home, his family, friends and co-workers. He will be remembered for his amazing smile, his big heart, his sense of humor, his love of life, and for the kindness and inspiration he extended to everyone he met.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 8 at the Evergreen Funeral Home in Everett at 2PM, followed immediately by a reception. Friends and family are encouraged to share their memories of Luke at the service. Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be sent to Seattle Children’s Hospital or the University of Washington Medical Center – Regional Heart Center/Adult Congenital Heart Disease Fund.
Luke is survived by his wife, Sarah, his parents, Brenda and Herman Young, his brother, Derek and sister-in-law Brandy, and a large community of friends and family.
He will be sorely missed, but his memory will live forever
