

Myrna Laurice Harmon, age 77, passed away peacefully January 21, 2021 in Everett, WA. She was born in Kansas City, MO in 1943 to Guy Wood Hestle and Jacqueline Noreta Thornton. She was the eldest of five children. In 1966, she married her love M. Larry Harmon and they were married for over 47 years before he passed in 2014.
Larry and Myrna left Kansas City to move to Amherst, MA where he earned his MBA. They eventually relocated to Milwaukee, WI where at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, she earned her bachelor’s degree in economics. Finally, in 1976 her and her husband relocated to Central NY, where they would spend the majority of their lives. A working mother, Myrna could not have set a better example to her three children. She taught all her children the value of hard work, determination and grit, as well as sharing her passion and sense of humor that is her hallmark trait. Everyone who met Myrna loved her. She had a tremendous gift with people, making people laugh and share their life stories. Always the life of the party, Myrna amassed many close friends along her journey and she touched the lives of so many others. She is survived by her three children, Robert T. Harmon (Patricia), M. Nathan Harmon (Stephanie), Dana E. Harmon (Cristian), and her four grandchildren, Aaron J. Harmon, Chelsea R. Harmon, M. Donovan Harmon and Monica Ruiz Harmon. She is also survived by her sisters Donna Campbell, Debra Carney, Karen Carney and brother Michael Graves.
