Patricia Joan Nance

Being a wife and life partner to her husband Michael for 46 years, Patti (as her friends knew her) and Michael who will always remember her love of adventure and all the wonderful memories they shared.

Being an incredible mother to two children, Mary and Tristan, she would attend their school events and share her love of painting, gardening, camping, reading, and reminiscing of when she played the drums in school. Very often she would be painting a wonderful landscape scene or sewing a costume for one of her children. She enjoyed being outdoors and growing columbine flowers every Spring. When her grandson James was born, she loved getting to be a grandma. Patti and James would spend many hours playing and having fun with games and books.

When Patti graduated from Lake County High School in Leadville, she worked as a legal secretary for a short time before she went on to join the Navy and spent many years serving her country. She often would tell stories of her world travels with Sandy and all the friends that she grew up with in school or went to boot camp with.

Patti and Michael moved to Lake Stevens, Washington where they shared their life together. While in Washington, Patti also worked for Sunrise Services and made many lifelong friends that she would often meet for lunch or tea and speak very fondly of.

Patti is survived by husband, Michael Nance; daughter, Mary Nance and her husband Sam; son, Tristan Nance and his wife Laura; grandson, James Nance; brother, Vincent Tekansik; brother, Chris Tekansik; sister-in-law, Stacia-Anne Gerber; sister-in-law Robin Henley; cousin, Lillie Avi and her husband Fred; cousins, Nellie-Ann and Lillie-Marie Ponikvar; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by father, Vincent Tekansik; mother, Wanda Langford; aunt, Nellie and her husband Louis Kostelic; and her beloved dog Bonkerz.

A celebration of life memorial will be held on August 26th, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Evergreen Funeral home. Patti will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Everett, Washington.
