Thom was a man who lived his life to the fullest, always ready for any adventure that called to him. He was born in Spokane on January 20, 1961 to Nancy and Vincent Aceto, and from an early age he began to explore as his father’s military service moved his family from coast to coast. This wandering spirit never left him as he spent most of his adult life working around the world as a manufacturing engineer for Boeing, spending time in Alaska, California, Kwajalein, and various other classified locations. He and Mary also enjoyed traveling and seeing new places together, taking yearly trips across the map to China, Costa Rica, Italy, and most recently Vietnam and even as far as South Carolina. He was a smart, funny, boisterous man with a big laugh, who placed family first above all else.
Thom is adored by countless friends and a large extended family, including his nieces Cassie Price and Michelle Tillis, and grandsons Julian (“JJ”) and Alonzo Roberson. Thom delighted in being “D’Uncle” to Mike’s two daughters as well as a great-uncle to Cassie’s children Allie and Anthony, and he truly loved being a Grandpa for JJ and Alonzo.
At his request Thom will be cremated and his ashes scattered at his favorite places around the world, and a celebration of life will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home in Everett on Thursday, September 7 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM for those that knew and loved him to share their memories.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.Evergreen-FH.com for the Aceto family.
