Traci Jo Garner

19 February, 19691 February, 2020

Traci Jo Garner passed away peacefully in Seattle, WA on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the age of 50. Traci was born in Seattle, WA on February 19, 1969 to Donna Jo and Brian Harvey Boyett. Traci graduated from Garfield High School in 1987 and met her husband Gerald (Jerry) Garner Jr. on October 15, 1989. They were married on June 30, 1990.

Traci's greatest happiness was her family! She is survived by her husband Gerald Garner, two children: Tinesha Jo and Gerald III, son-in-law Jonathan Sprague, and grandson Jonathan Jr. Her two children were absolute miracles. Prior to having children, Traci was diagnosed with cancer and told that she could not have children. Following her treatment, Traci conceived and gave birth to Tinesha. Following Tinesha’s birth, Traci was again diagnosed with cancer and this time told that she would have less than a 1% chance of additional children. But Traci again beat the odds and gave birth to a son, Gerald III.

Traci was diagnosed with, and overcame, cancer 5 times. She was a fighter and survivor. She also survived a bowel perforation and pleurisy. Sadly, Traci was not able to win her last battle: pneumonia.

During her spare time, Traci enjoyed Mopar car shows and rooting on the Green Bay Packers with her family and friends. She was a member and the club secretary for the Northwest Packer Backers, a group that supports the Green Bay Packers and several charities in the Pacific Northwest.

A celebration of Traci’s life will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at the Mustard Seed Grill & Pub, 5608 119th Ave SE, Bellevue, WA 98006. We would like to accept donations in lieu of flowers, and that the donations will be divided equally between Traci’s favorite charity and the cost of the funeral.
