

Bill graduated from Kapowsin High School as a 3-sport letterman. From Central Washington College he earned a BA in Education and MA in Administration. Bill was a 4-year varsity baseball player during college. Bill married Gloria Revello Dec 28,1951 and have celebrated 71 years of marriage. He served in the Army for 3 years from 1951 – 1954 serving in Germany.
Bill was involved in education as a teacher, coach and supervisor for 36 years. His teaching career included 6th grade in Forks; 8th grade in Moxee, Central Catholic High School and A.C. Davis High School in Yakima. Bill was the Supervisor for Traffic Safety Education for the Superintendent of Public Instruction for 23 years. He was fondly called “The Father of Traffic Safety Education in Washington State” at his retirement.
He was a member of NEA, WTSEA (including being a board member), ADTSEA and the National Safety Congress. Bill was a member of the Washington State Officials Association officiating for football, basketball, baseball and fast-pitch softball. He coached all these sports as well. In his spare time, he enjoyed being an active member of Trout Unlimited (including helping as an officer).
Bill was an active member of St. Michael’s Parish in Olympia. He was a 3rd Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus and a past Grand Knight twice. He was also very active in St. Vincent de Paul assisting those in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Anna; by his sisters Mary (Hiblar) Rodzinak, Emily (Hiblar) Sabol, Elizabeth; and his brothers Steve, Joseph, John, Andy and Tony.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Gloria; children Maria (Jon Ramberg), Michele (Bob Watters), grandchildren Tim (Kelsey) Ramberg and Tony (Stephanie) Watters; great-grandson Ryan Ramberg, many nieces, and nephews.
Bill’s love for God influenced all that he did. His family was very important to him and he loved actively sharing in all their lives. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bill was an enthusiastic sports fan and an avid fisherman. He was extremely competitive even playing games with his children, grandchildren and great-grandson.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas More Parish in Lynnwood on November 3, 2023 at 11 AM. Burial will be at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Everett Washington.
