Amanda Lee Kersey

Amanda Lee Kersey was born on May 17, 1965, to the union of Jeanne and Wilmer Ernest “Ernie” Martin in Roseville, CA. She was a 1983 graduate of Casa Roble High School. She was raised with her siblings in Orangevale, CA, and she started a family of her own in 1984.

Amanda started her career as a flight attendant for SkyWest Airlines in 1998, where she enjoyed traveling and meeting new people from different places. Her hospitable and caring nature, along with her love of adventure, drew her to this type of work. Whether she was in the air or on the ground, Amanda was always helping others. She had recently celebrated 25 years of service with SkyWest.

Life’s simple pleasures gave Amanda the most joy - chatting with friends and family, cooking, and spending time with grandchildren. She was creative beyond measure and had a knack for giving new life to thrifted finds by repurposing them altogether. Everyone who met Amanda felt her independent spirit and her ability to connect in a meaningful way. She will be so missed.

Amanda Kersey departed this life on June 29, 2024. She was preceded in death by her father, Wilmer Ernest “Ernie” Martin, her mother, Jeanne Martin, and her sister Patricia “Patty” Ann Revelle.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her sister Tonia Couch of El Dorado Hills, CA; her son Craig Kersey of Lincoln, CA; her daughter Christa Ferrill of Lincoln, CA; her daughter Katherine Kersey of Roseville, CA; grandchildren Payton, Xavier, Charley, Harper, Hudson, Chase, Madison and Hailey (all of the Sacramento area); three nieces and one nephew; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
