Bill J Anderson

Born in Greely Colorado on November 5, 1924 to Mardelle and Wilbur Galland. He grew up in Venice California where he met and married is high school sweetheart Irene M. Petersen. She preceded him in death on September 2003. He served in the Airforce as a pilot from 1944 – 1965. Bill was most proud of his participation in the Berlin Airlift from 1948-1949. He was an active member of the Berlin Airlift Veterans Association (BAVA), the Daedalians and Quiet Birdmen. The family transferred to Mather AFB where Bill retired as Major. He began his civilian life as a contract purchasing agent at McClellan AFB, where he retired in 1986. Bill loved his family, enjoyed travel and golf.

He leaves behind four children, Michael Anderson, Susan Nelson, William Anderson, and Karen Grubb. Seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
