Although our friendship was short I feel very privileged to have known Carol and enjoyed the time we spent together.  She was a truly exceptional person and was loved by everyone who knew her here.  I wish I could attend the services today, however, as you know I am still here at Sutter Roseville.  I will be sure to stay in touch with you in the coming days.

Dear Tom and Family!

This has to be hard and I can't totally relate, but I know my last visit with Carol late last summer when she was down visiting her parents was inspiring. Her strong spirit touched my heart and I knew she was okay with whatever way this went. Her fight is over and she is at peace. I have know and worked with Carol over the years, since the early days of diaysis with "New West". What a gracious, sincere and wonderful nurse and friend. She was a born to be a nurse and teach as she did many nurses, technicians and patients. There will never be anyone who set the high expectations she set for herself. She did what she did for all the right reasons, putting everyone else first. Her love of family and nursing showed in everything she did and said, she walked the walk. A great loss to the dialysis community, her friends and family, shoes that will not easily be filled. I will always remember Carol with great respect and adoration. Sweet Carol, my friend, my colleague.

Tom, I am so sad to hear that Carol has died.  It was such fun to have caught up with you both at our reunion.  I'm so glad that we got that chance.  You are in my thoughts.   Terre Donaldson Ilardi

Dear Tom and Family, I am so sorry to hear of Carols passing.  I was so happy to see both of you at the school reunion.  And spend some time with you.  There are no words that can make the hurting stop.l  But remember this is just a short separation.  By Gods grace and love we have the ability to be reunited in ever lasting life with the heavenly throng surrounding us.  You are all in my prayers.

I was so very, very sorry to hear of Carol's death.  My mind goes back to the last time we saw each other and what a wonderful day it was!  I have always thought that Carol was such a sweet person and I know that this is a tremendous loss for you and your children and the entire family.
