Donald L. Oakden 90 Passed away peacefully at home on December 3, 2022 Formally of Orangevale Ca. Recently of Waverly, Ohio. Preceded in death by his wife Arlene Astle Oakden. Parents Clarence and Phoebe Ann Oakden, Brother Richard Oakden, Sister-in-law Ethel Oakden and Grandson Timothy Oakden. Survived by his children Les and (Debra) Oakden, Charlotte ( Jerry Hamaker), William (Kathy) Oakden, David ( Margaret) Oakden and Holly ( Jeffrey) Glenn, 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Army Veteran. Retired civil service employee from McClellan Air Force base. Devoted Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Severed 2 missions in the California Mission and one 2 year mission in the Cleveland Ohio Mission. He loved gardening and passed that love on to his children. He loved music and singing. He traveled to many foreign lands and spoke of Hawaii and the many experiences had there. He will be greatly missed but we know he is at peace with his loving wife and family.
