Born June 25, 1924 in Reedley, CA went to be with the Lord July 24, 2018 in Carmichael, CA. Survived by wife Janet Mayer-Schmidt of 12 years, brother Vernon Schmidt, sister Violet Corwin; children - Lon Schmidt, Iris Atkinson, Bruce Schmidt, Patricia Fields and Phyllis Dahlen; step children Gary, Rod, Perry, Cassandra and Claudette; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild! Glenn was a WWII ex-prisoner of war, serving 24 years in the USAF. His patriotism was surpassed only by his love and devotion to the Lord Jesus. We know he is now resting in the arms of his Savior. Family and friends are invited to funeral and internment on August 4, 2018 at 10:00 am at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park & Mortuary. Reception on premises to follow.
