Gordon loved golf, doing crosswords in ink and watching cartoons. He was a bible study teacher and pastor. He also really enjoyed eating chocolate anything.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Phelps, his children Dennis Phelps, Dan Duncan and Anna Durgan, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be 12-2pm Monday, April 11,2011 at Mount Vernon Mortuary. Funeral services will be 10am Tuesday, April 12, 2011 also at Mount Vernon.
