

MSgt. Isaiah William Patterson, Jr. USAF (Ret.) of Rancho Cordova, was born July 2, 1939 to the late Isaiah Patterson Sr. and Josephine Smith of Columbus, OH. He was preceded in death by his brother "Frankie" Patterson of Waco, TX.
Isaiah was a faithful and dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Rancho Cordova until he was called home on February 20th, 2012 to be with the Lord.
Isaiah was a decorated Vietnam Veteran with a 22 year career with the USAF.
He was an active member of the Rancho Cordova chapter of The Optimist Club for many years, even serving one term as District Governor. He enjoyed golfing, water skiing and soft ball, but above all loved bowling. He bowled on many different leagues over a span of fifty years. He was also an accomplished musician, appearing with various bands as lead vocalist and playing the organ. He later utilized these talents at the First Baptist Church of Rancho Cordova where he was an active member of the choir.
Isaiah had a caring spirit, infectious smile and love for all people that earned him many dear friends. We, his family, will always have an abiding love and respect for him. He will be dearly missed by all.
Left to mourn his passing, his wife of 14 years Regina, son, Isaiah Patterson III, daughter, Liniah (Michael) Poole, grandchildren, Lindsey Rivenes, Jewel Patterson, Derrick and Mason Poole, 1 great granddaughter Zoey Rivenes, 5 step children and 10 step grandchildren, extended relatives and a host of special friends.
Inurnment will take place at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery Wednesday, February 29th, 2012 at 9:30 am. Memorial services will follow at the First Baptist Church of Rancho Cordova, 10720 Coloma Rd., at 12 o'clock.
