

JACK NORMAN MARTIN was born October 30, 1926, in Ione, CA, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 27, 2011, in Roseville, CA. Jack graduated early from high school at the age of 17 and enlisted in the U. S. Navy to serve his country during World War II. He served from October 1944 through July 1946 and was honorably discharged as an Aviation Radio man third class. Jack was a Gunner and flew on the B-24 Airship Liberator. After his military discharge he completed college and enrolled in McGeorge Law School evening classes while working as an I.R.S. Agent during the day. Jack opened his own law office in 1955 and practiced for 35 years in the Sacramento area. During his practice he was frequently called upon to sit Pro Tem as a Judge in the Sacramento Superior Court. In the course of his career, he successfully tried two cases before the California Supreme Court that made case law in California. He lived a life dedicated to Jesus Christ and was an active member of Sunrise Community Church for over 30 years. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Charles Martin and Thelma Davis Martin; his son Timothy Martin; and his brother Robert Martin. He is survived by his loving and devoted, best friend and soul mate Anita, his wife for over 33 years; sister Kathleen Sheridan; sons Terry Martin (Margie) of Lodi, CA, John Martin (Sande) of Sacramento, and David Martin of Reno, Nevada; daughters Karol Martin Repkow and Kristan Martin, both of Sacramento, and Erin Seymour (Jim) of Oregon; stepchildren: Keri E. Mason (Jere) Roseville, Patricia D. Lundstrom (Jeff) San Diego, Paul M. McClung (Liz), Roseville and Todd A. McClung (Cindy) Auburn; 22 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, and his half-human Persian cats, Jake and Riley. A celebration of Jack’s life will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Sunrise Community Church, 8321 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA.
