

Jim dedicated over 35 years to the Department of Defense, including several deployments as a civilian in Vietnam, where he worked to reconstruct aircraft damaged during the war. He took great pride in his service and retired as a GS-12. Following his government career, Jim continued his professional journey with Raytheon before eventually retiring.
In retirement, Jim enjoyed golfing, handyman projects, delivering cars, and spending cherished time with his beloved spouse Margaret and family.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Margaret; parents Helen and LeRoy; brothers Dave and Don; and sisters Barbara and Patty.
Jim is survived by his children Bonnie Leidheisl, Tom Bell, Shelly Jenni (Kirk), and Stacey Catchot; grandchildren Kendal Jenni, Ciera Cueva (Juan), and Cody Leidheisl (Lynelle); and great-grandchildren Nevaeh and Trinity Leidheisl. Jim is also remembered fondly by many loving nieces and nephews.
A private interment will be held for the family. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Rock of Roseville Auxiliary Church, located at 202 Bonita Avenue, Roseville, CA 95678.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA in honor of Jim’s lifelong love for animals.
