Jay was a true friend and a mentor. Jay taught me to slow down a bit and look at the big picture. He was always the voice of reason and put everything into perspective. Jay always told it how it was and never held back when it came to sharing his opionion. He was full of compassion and pride and a man who stood on integrity.

Jay you will be missed by all but never forgotten!

Having known him for over 41 years, 39 of them as my father-in-law, I can honestly say that he was a good man that got finer as the years passed. He learned from his life's experiences, owned his mistakes, and looked ahead to being the best he could be. In this quest, he appreciated his family and loved ones and took every opportunity to let them know how much he loved them and how proud of them he had come to be. 

We all miss him deeply.

I still find myself saving our wine corks, a habit we all have developed in these later years, imagining them becoming a part of one of his bird house creations. It's so fitting that my own father loved birds and my second father loved making bird houses. Now they are both part of eternity. ADIEU!

My condolences on your loss. I remember Jay and the Menu Tree fondly, having met my husband Jimmy there...and great friends.

We first met Jay in 1992 and from day one I found him to be one of life's true gentlemen and a professional at work. Jay was not shy at chiding you on a golf course and citing rules of etiquette but always in a way that made you feel good, my daughter still refers to Jay as Mr. Jay 
Heather and I will always remember you as a friend and advisor. So glad we have shared some great times with Jay and Cheryl, fond memories and more!!

Jay was a great guy -- a big smile and even bigger heart!!  I have only fond and fun memories of our days at the Menu Tree.  If he were still here, my Bill would agree!!

Jay was my brother in law because he was married to my sister in law Cheryl. He was always sweet to me and always made sure he prepared me some of the nicest vegan meals whenever we came to visit. I sit in his chair at the table now at their home. It is very quiet without him, and we miss him terribly! We will never forget Jay.

Jay was a true friend who will be sorely missed.   We have fond memories of his and Cheryl's wedding, fun and laughter shared at the Menu Tree, and how he loved their dogs, the putting green in their back yard, and his garden.   Jay had a zest for life who deeply loved his wife Cheryl and was so proud of his family.  The stars in the night sky are brighter because he's amongst them.

Jay will always be remembered fondly for putting up with all of us at the Menu Tree.
