Joyce Ann (Peterson) Nelms went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in Citrus Heights, California. Joyce was was born on April 11, 1923 in Minneapolis, MN. She served her country in WWII by joining the Coast Guard. There she met William Nelms, whom she married in 1948. After his retirement in 1962 they settled in California. From there they took many road trips across the country in their RV enjoying the beauty of America. Joyce is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Nelms Finefield and Lynn Marie Toliver. She was preceeded in death by her husband, her parents Ernest and Svea Peterson, sister Aurette Peterson and brother Everett Peterson. Her family and everyone who knew her loved her and will miss her deeply. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, July 15 at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA at 1:30 p.m.
