Lawrence brought that spirit with him. I was struggling with losing my mom, dad, grandmother, grandfather and marriage in a few years. He could always turn my 'dark cloud' attitude around with a joke or some 'tough love'. I will miss hearing 'him', I will miss seeing 'him'.


My condolences family.
Growing up on Jasmine Way we where all related or extended family.  We looked out for each other and we would all run and play
up and down that street 
One day I was skating too fast
and Tuffy told me. I didn't listen 
I ran into the back of a Cadillac 
the one with those metal pointed
wing looking thing. I fell and started 
crying. Next thing I know here comes
Tuffy helping me up smiling and telling
me you will be ok while wiping the
dust of my knee. Tuffy has always 
been a gentle gaint and I will
miss him dearly. I know he is still
looking out for all of us.
Love never dies. Although we will hurt
and cry, We have to remember his
laugh, his heart and that beautiful smile
and all the beautiful times.
I am truly sorry. 

I met Lawrence back in the 80s at EDI. We worked together and played together at the clubs. I just ran into him at HomeDepo this year. I introduced him to my wife and we must of talked for about an hour. He always had a big hart and I loved that Cadillac Britt’s had. RIP Big Guy.

My memory of "Tuffy" from high school is he was a gentle giant and always kind to me. He will be missed.  Sending my sincerest condolences to the family  on your loss.

Sitting up high stadium like seating
speaking with a beautiful dark brown skinned man.
Railing disappears and we're both at the edge
I say I am ready.
We hold hands and we jump out
floating really close as if we're one being.
I was so happy so full of joy so full of peace and trust.
We landed on our feet and began to dance.
Other people all kinds of people joined us and danced.
And I felt such pure joy.
I offered him a ride to his home
He said no you can't go to that neighborhood.
And then my phone rang just like the morning of 12/16/21

He was a big guy with a big personality! He was one of those friends that are few and far between that you always called and was there if needed and one you would do anything for! He always had a smile and always made us laugh but his laugh was the laugh ! He was just an overall great friend and person in my life and I’m happy and blessed that I have the memories I have and he was put in my life! Wish we could  made more but it’s not up to us! Loved Lawrence like a brother!!

What’s up man, hey I finally put that light up. Wish we had more time to hangout, laugh joke around an talk about our lady’s I mean our car’s lol. U always gave me positive advice. Even tho we didn’t get the chance to have that barbecue, I am very grateful an honored to have got the chance to meet an have you as a friend.
