

Lillian was born in Boaz, Alabama to Claude and Leona Roberson. Growing up, Lillian had two sisters Della Mae (deceased) and Evelyn (Cullman, Alabama), and two brothers Virgil and Malcom (both deceased). Lillian was married to her husband Leon for 53 years before he passed away. She was married to James Grant for eight years. She retired from Pacific Telephone as an account manager in 1985 and moved to Rancho Murieta.
Meme was a very good golfer and a past Captain of the Rancho Murieta Golf Club “Niners” in the late 1980s and 1990s. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and was an excellent seamstress and cook. She loved watching Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and Jimmy Swaggart. Lillian was a member of the Rancho Murieta Community Church and past deaconess.
She is survived by her daughter Gloria Cameron (Gene) of Applegate, and Anthony Maddox (Kelley) of Fair Oaks and a sister Evelyn Brown of Cullman, Alabama. Lillian has 4 grandchildren: Michael, Patti, and Nathan Cameron, and Julia Maddox. She also had 5 great grandchildren: Cole and Kate Cameron (Michael), Jordan and Jenna Casanova (Patti), and Vivian Cameron (Nathan). She is survived by many nieces and nephews in Alabama and California and her beloved Chihuahua Jake.
A private service for family will be held Wednesday, February 14 at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, officiated by Pastor Ron Mitchell.
Meme was a beautiful person and we were so fortunate to have her all these years. We will always remember her kindness and loving gentle manner. A perfect lady, now in the perfect place, in Heaven! We love you, Meme!
