Margarete Gordon, 85, of Antelope, California, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on October 6, 1940, in Koblenz, Germany, Margarete’s life was a beautiful story of love, strength, and devotion to those around her. She built a life centered on family, creating a home that was always welcoming, warm, and full of care.
Margarete was the heart of her family—the true matriarch who made sure everyone was taken care of. Whether through a home cooked meal, a thoughtful gesture, compassionate guidance, or simply her presence, she had a way of making people feel loved and valued. She found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life: spending time with her family, creating memorable moments, shopping trips, and tending to her garden, where she created beauty just as she did in the lives of those she loved.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Gordon; her children and their spouses, Renee & Bobby Riley, Susan & Morris Taylor, and Larry & Ellie Winter; five grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her love and legacy forward.
Margarete’s kindness, strength, and unwavering love will be deeply missed, but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.
“Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Proverbs 31:31
