Mary attended Highland High School in North Highlands. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal savior, was baptized and became a member of Liberty Towers Church of the Nazarene. Mary was an actice member of the church where she became an assistant Sunday School teacher. She loved working with kids. She continued working with the kids as a volunteer at Larchmont Elementary School. She worked with Mrs. Yate's class for many tears. Mary touched the lives of many people with her beautiful smile and generosity. She maintained this trademark and sense of humor in spite of her long illness.
A good friend of Mary's described her as being a very unique person who gave you unconditional love, no judging, just love from her heart. Mary leaves to cherish her memory, two brothers, John W. and Michael C. Richardson, three sisters, Corine Johnson, Cher Daniels-Haden and Helen Clayton, one brother -in- law Art Haden, four nieces and nephews, Sonia, Tonia, Jamel and Anthony, five great nieces and nephews, LaDarin, Tyler, Tyree, Amiah Grace, and Ariahan Elise and host of relatives and friends.
Mary knew that it didn't matter where you went in life or what you acquired, It's who you have beside you that really matters. Love your family and your God! This year, the Haynes-Washington family will host their 48th reunion and mary will be truly missed.
