Nellie was born to parents Ramon and Angela Valadez in El Paso, Texas.
She worked for Del Monte Cannery and was a member of the Teamsters Union for 30 years. She was a proud member of the Mexican-American War Mothers.
She was predeceased by her husband James, her son Ramon, sister and four of her brothers.
Nellie was devoted to her family and her faith in the Catholic Church.
Nellie is survived by her brother Rufus (Cheryl), life companion Cecil, Children Jack (Debi), Angie (Jeff), and Tom; grandchildren Jack Jr, Tim, Mike, Tricia, Wayne, Brian, Kevin, Angela, Arnold, John, Tom Jr., and Chastine; 22 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren, her beloved cat Meanie and many more that considered her 'granny'.
