

Rammie Marie Johnson Howard was born on February 4, 1934 to Joe and Cora Johnson of Sulligent, Alabama. She was the eleventh of twelve children. On the evening of Monday, October 3, 2022 she was transported to Mercy San Juan Hospital in Carmichael CA. Early on the morning of Tuesday, October 4, 2022, God called Rammie home to eternal peace and rest, and there she received her wings.
Rammie, graduated from the Lamar County Training School in June of 1952. After graduation, Rammie moved to Reno, Nevada with her sister Josie Thorns and her husband. She believed she could have a better life out west.
She attended New Church in Sulligent, Alabama, a Methodist Church. Upon relocation to the West, Rammie joined New Testament Baptist Church (NTBC) in 1988 where she regularly attended Sunday school, and Morning Worship Service. She was a member of the Women's Choir, served on the Mother's Board and sang in the Women in White Choir for a few years. In 2002, Rammie transferred her membership from NTBC and joined Faith Fellowship Community Church of North Highlands, CA. There she attended Sunday School and served on the Mother’s Board. In 2012, Rammie returned to New Testament Church, where she remained a member until her passing.
Rammie was married to Benjamin "Ben" Howard Sr., her sweetheart, in 1952. They were married for 30 years. Rammie was a Christian Woman, devoted wife, mother and homemaker, who always put the interest of her family first.
Rammie was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Cora Johnson; Her husband, Benjamin Howard, Sr.; Brothers, Extra Jay Johnson, Esker Johnson, Alonzo Van Johnson, Ollie Nelson Johnson, Rector Ray Remainder Johnson and Quincy Lawrence Johnson, Sr.; Sisters, Anna Johnson Westbrook Roland, Mamie Azell Sanders Collier, Alma Asielee Johnson Hollis, Josie Johnson Thorns and Ellie Mae Johnson Page.
Rammie leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Yvonne Elaine Walden, Lisa Marie Delmundo; three sons, Benjamin Howard, Jr., Randy Jerome (Dianne) Howard, and Donald Joe Howard; Three Grandchildren, Kristen (Richard) Johnson and Timothy (Ashley) Delmundo, Randy Jerome Howard Jr.; Ten Great-grandchildren, Jordan Sean Renteria, Jaelyn AnneMarie Renteria, Jasmin Renee Renteria, Sincere Jerome Howard, Tianna Amari Howard, Bradley Peter Delmundo, Brody Timothy Delmundo, Adam Alexander Delmundo, Elle Rose Delmundo, and Gracie Amber Delmundo, and a host of Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8.
