Robert Allen Gorham

Robert is survived by Gail, his daughters Courtney and Lindsay Onodera; aunt, Mary Jane Beaupre, cousins; Gail's siblings and cousins/families; friends; and Mischka (Little Bear), his gray tabby cat.

He graduated from California State University, Sacramento, with a degree in government and minor in philosophy. Robert earned a Juris Doctor in law from the Lorenzo Patino School of Law.

Robert served as a job steward, District Labor Council President, and Bargaining Unit chairperson with the union formerly known as the California State Employees Association. He worked in labor relations at several state agencies, retiring as the Labor Relations Officer at the California Board of Equalization.

Robert also served as system-wide President of the Friends of the Sacramento Public Library and served as a volunteer at its Book Den and warehouse before and after his retirement.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Sacramento Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
