My wife Debra and I are grateful to Brother Pirtle for assigning us  to the Sourheast  Asian refugee minustry in the US for the last 30 years. We are looking forward to see him again in the glory along with many thousand of southeast Asian brother and sister in Christ.

Robert and Barbara Pirtle were wonderful family friends.  I (Alice) worked in the No. California district office when Rev. Pirtle served there.  Later I became his personal secretary when he was executive director of the Assemblies of God Home Missions office.  He was a good boss, kind, caring, and compassionate. My dad, Noble and Bob were lifelong friends. Room mates at Glad Tidings who still spoke on the phone almost daily.What a wonderful friendship! My 1st trip
through the automatic carwash occurred from the back seat of Bob's blue Oldsmobile. I remember so well the "torrential rain" and all the noises that went with that adventure! Pretty exciting for a young lad!  Blessings to you Sandy and your family for the wonderful care you gave so lovingly to Bob.

My dad, Cecil Holloway, and Robert Pirtle, were best friends during their  high school years in Lodi. Dad was a new Christian, on fire for the Lord, and was used of God to lead Robert to the Lord. In time, both men married, had families and moved in different directions. Robert and Barbara would stop by every few years, when they were in our area, to keep in touch and get caught up while Bobby and I fought over the toys. My parents have since gone on to be with the Lord and I'm sure they are all rejoicing together on the hills of glory. Robert and Barbara always had a special place in their hearts.

Robert Pirtle was my uncle.  Growing up I spent two weeks every summer at the Pirtle home in Roseville with my cousin Jan.  we also celebrated every Christmas for approx 17 years these are childhood memories I will always treasure.  Uncle bob will be missed.

Robert Pirtle was the first Pastor to really help Me understand God and the salvation He brings us. May the Lord comfort Roberts Family in there time of loss. Ken and Georgia Denio

I've known Brother Pirtle from childhood, when my father pastored Northeast Assembly in Portland Oregon.  Another father in the faith has left us.

Brother Pirtle was on the committee that interviewed me for my first credential. I'll always be grateful for those who believed in this me, an inexperienced young minister. He served our Lord and our District well.

Brother Pirtle was a significant figure in my life early in my ministry.  As the pastor at Roseville (a church I would later serve as an associate) and then as the Assistant Superintendent, I viewed him as a example of integrity, commitment and effective leadership.

My wife Janie and I have many pleasant memories of Brother Pirtle while Janie worked with him at the District office in Scotts Valley.  He was a very gracious gentleman, considerate in every way.  We pray for God's comfort to his family.  Ken & Janie Olson

Our memory book is filled with good times and fellowship with Bob and 
Barbara Pirtle.  We loved them dearly.  Bob was a great friend. He epitomized integrity.

Robert Pirtle was a wonderful supervisor, a strong spiritual leader with a genuine and sincere love for God!  His character earned him tremendous respect!  May the family be comforted by God at this time of loss!

Bob Pirtle was pastor at the Roseville Assembly of God and was my presbyter in 1957 at a crucial juncture of my life.  Frances and I had been abruptly removed from our very first ministry position after graduation from Southern California Bible College (Now Vanguard University). Bob showed us love, understanding and believed in us enough to help us into a new and successful ministry position.  He also dedicated our second son, Timothy, to the Lord Jesus at his birth. Tim continues to serve as an AG minister at this time.  Thank you, Bob, for your sweet spirit and guidance.

Robert Pirtle was an effective spiritual leader, wise mentor and true friend. His gentle spirit and special gift of listening to others meant more than I can say. May the comfort and assurance of the Lord be with all the family.

Brother Pirtle was always in my corner as a pastor of a home missions church. His encouragement and commitment was constant. His leadership helped set me on a course that has guided me for many years. A true gift to the church.

During his years of serving in national Home Missions leadership, Robert Pirtle was a great encouragement to me and others in fulfilling our vision of starting new Teen Challenge programs across America. His wisdom and guidance was invaluable in those early days. Much loving comfort to each family member.

Pastor Bob Pirtle touched my life significantly on two separate occasions--upon my graduation from Bethany Bible College in 1964, and the re-recognition of my ordination in the district in 1978.  I will always remember his encouraging words and loving regard during my earlier years as an ordained minister.  He maintained a kind and generous heart.

He was a great leader and FRIEND.  I have fond memories of him in N. California.  May the family find great comfort in Jesus!

He was a man of mercy and compassion, mentoring many a young minister -- I was one of them -- always inspiring and redemptive in his leadership.  He once taught me that in dealing with imperfect human beings it was always better to err on the side of grace than on the side of law.  I am still learning that lesson, and every time I am confronted with one aspect or another of that principle, the thought of Robert Pirtle fills my heart with gratitude.  David Faouzi Arzouni. You married us 47 years ago. You almost got to marry us on our 50th. You aways  you always said you put us together for life and you did. You were  so  loved. You taught us Gods  words  and we have never forgotten. We love you. Roseville 1st. Assembly of God lives in our hearts forever.
