

She was born on December 15, 1942 to Wayne and Mary Rebstock in Pittsburg, CA. She was raised in Pittsburg with her two younger siblings who both passed before her, Linda and Wayne. She is survived by her husband of more than 45 years, Jon Peterson, her two children Raymond Ferrarini and Leanne Ortega, two step- daughters, Kris Spindel and Julie Caldwell and her grandchildren Jennifer, Jonathon, Alexis, Madison, McKenna, Macy, Erin, Domenic, Ben and Lauren. In addition to her large blended family she leaves behind countless friends and extended family that have already felt the impact of her loss.
Sharon was a graduate of UC Davis and spent the early years of her career as an Elementary School Teacher. Her and her husband Jon owned Peterson Developments for nearly 40 years before retiring and giving their full time attention to their dogs, kids, and grandkids.
She loved to travel with friends, garden and her workouts at Curves kept her fit for decades. She also loved to teach people about growing and showing chrysanthemums. She had been involved in the Sacramento Chrysanthemum Society for many years and she was the current sitting president. She had a knack for hostessing and was always entertaining guests. She was no doubt greeted in heaven by the countless Golden Retrievers that she spoiled over the years with French Toast breakfast. She was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandma, Step-mother, Mother-in-law , Aunt, and friend.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network to support ongoing research in the fight against pancreatic cancer
