Born September 5, 1928 in Downey California and was raised and lived in Santa Maria. He moved to Sacramento in 1956, where he lived until he passed away peacefully in his home on December 6, 2012 in Carmichael California.
Bill was a man of many hats, literally and figuratively. He had a different hat for each day. He also had many different loves in his life; he was an avid fisherman and hunter, frequenting his cabin in Lake Tahoe yearly. In his younger years, tennis was the fuss in his life, as well as a love for all things Volkswagen.
When he had his work hat on, he was a salesman for All State Insurance, and could strike up a conversation with anyone he came across. He worked proudly for All State for 35 years before retiring. Even later in life, his ability to talk to anyone made him many friends.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents Andrew Leroy and Lorena Jennie Oxford. He is survived by his loving wife Kay of 20 years; Daughters Deborah (Robert), Patricia (A.J.), and Pamela (Kerry), and many grandchildren. There will be a Visitation service on Thursday December 13, from 4-7pm and a funeral service will be Friday, December 14th at 1pm.
