Tushar Ravindra Dalvi

He was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 12, 1947 to the late Ravindra and Mira Dalvi. Tushar graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology with a B.S in Civil Engineering in 1969. He was married to Vandana Kothare on May 21, 1972.

Tushar worked as a Civil Engineer for over 40 years. He immigrated to the United States in 1974 starting his career in Kentucky. Tushar moved to Sacramento in 1980 where he continued his career and was involved in many municipal projects across California. He was also a member of several industry associations such as the American Society of Professional Engineers. Outside of his professional career, Tushar also had a love of Indian classical musical and organized many performances locally.

Tushar is survived by his brother Uday of Mumbai, India; spouse Vandana, of Sacramento; son Vikrant of Calabasas, CA, and one grandson.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made out to the American Diabetes Association (donation.diabetes.org or P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312)

A memorial will be held in Tushar’s honor on Friday May 31st at 5:00 PM.
