Aida E. Martinez, mostly known as “Fanie”, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at her residence in Falfurrias, Texas at the age of 86. Fanie was born on September 21, 1932 to Ramon L. Martinez and Juliana Trevino Martinez in Falfurrias. She worked as a store clerk for many years until her retirement.
Fanie was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Elia Champion, Juanita M. Pittman, Jesus Martinez and Ramon Martinez, Jr.
She is survived by her two brothers, Reynaldo Martinez and Julian (Helga) Martinez of Falfurrias; six sisters, Maria Elena Trevino, Angelita M. McLain, Graciela M. (Joel) Mora, Julia M. (Michael) Odom, Lucy M. Martinez all of Falfurrias and Petra (Billy) M. Perry of Seguin, Texas and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019 with Visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the Garza Zamora Cemetery in Falfurrias.
