Amparo Garza Sanchez passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at her daughter’s residence in Mission, Texas. She was blessed with 83 years of life where she was able to make many beautiful memories to leave her family to cherish forever. Amparo was born December 16, 1936 to Aniceto Garza, Sr. and Aurora Martinez Garza in Falfurrias, Texas. She was a housewife.
Amparo enjoyed doing puzzles and playing her Tetris game. She also loved to cook for her family. The favorite amongst all her grandchildren were her famous refried beans tacos. She had a heart of gold and loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally.
Amparo is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 67 years, Abelardo “Chacho” L. Sanchez and her siblings, Adolfo Gonzalez, Juan Manuel Garza, Rolando Garza, Albertina Martinez and Albertina Perez.
She is survived by her two sons, Adolfo (Martha) Sanchez of Brownsville, Texas and Arnold (Dalia) Sanchez of Falfurrias; four daughters, Aurora “Loli” (Doug) Brooks of Mission, Texas, Anna (Andres) Martinez of McAllen, Texas and Audelia (Raul Monsevais) Sanchez of Edinburg, Texas and Alicia (JR) Martinez of Falfurrias; brothers, David R. (Diana) Martinez of Corpus Christi, Texas and Aniceto (Veronica) Garza, Jr. of Falfurrias; sister, Angie Barrera of Alvin, Texas; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and many extended family members.
Pallbearers will be Raul Monsevais, Joey Martinez, Ted Brooks, Arnold Sanchez, Jr., Abelardo "A.B." Sanchez and Aaron Sanchez.
