Bernardo G. Garcia

Bernardo G. Garcia entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 24, 2015 at a hospital in Kingsville, Texas at the age of 87. He was born on July 9, 1928 to Jose Maria Garcia, Sr. and Maria Gutierrez Garcia in Falfurrias, Texas. Bernardo was a cowboy who worked all his life as a Rancher with different companies and ranches like the Cage Ranch and Superior Oil. He loved to fish and hunt and he loved his pet dogs.

He was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by his parents; his wife, Angelita Garcia; infant child, Humberto Garcia; brother, Pedro Garcia and three sisters, Marcela Gonzalez, Maria Garcia and Antonia Villarreal. He leaves behind to cherish his memories three sons, Luis C. (Dolores) Garcia of Falfurrias, Bernardo (JoAnn) Garcia, Jr. of Yakama, Washington and Rolando Garcia from Falfurrias; two daughters, Sylvia (Rene) Garcia-Ramirez of Falfurrias and Brunilda (Shami) Garcia of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Leopoldo Garcia and Jose Maria (Graciela) Garcia, Jr both of Falfurrias; three sisters, Manuela Gonzalez, Rosa Longoria and Petra (Milque) Sanchez all of Falfurrias; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way; 1 great-great-grandchild and one on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams with visitation to beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
